Heavy Metal Ankh

Here you will find a work that is a part of my ongoing series called The Faces of Brooklyn. I love creating these small scale works, each has a different feeling. Many of the metal pieces used in this collection were found while I was out photographing my favorite industrial landscapes. I did clean the pieces before working with them or they wouldn't be able to stick to the paint. The color behind the bronze and rusty toned metal is a salmon pink, the sides of the canvas are painted black. Each piece is made once and is signed on the back.
