13 is a painting that had emerged from my own experience with The Tarot. I began reading when I was gifted a deck that was very special to my family from my great aunt. #13 Death (usually) 9 times out of 10 does NOT refer to an upcoming death but a death to outworn ways of living,beliefs and anything else that is stopping you from realizing your own full potential. I created this piece, in a way as a reminder to check in with yourself and to encourage growth. Positive energy will always over come the negative. The work measures 10x20x1" acrylic on canvas.
